shieldbate DMCA Agency Authorization Agreement

Version 2026-07-19.1. Accepting this agreement in the shieldbate dashboard records your consent to this version.

1. Appointment

By accepting this agreement, you appoint shieldbate as your authorized agent solely to prepare and submit DMCA takedown notices (and related host forms) for material that appears under your verified Chaturbate username on hosts shieldbate has enabled (starting with Recu.me).

2. Scope

• Collection is limited to publicly available listing URLs associated with your verified username on enabled hosts.
• Filings may be batched to meet host limits (for example, up to 40 URLs per Recu.me form submission).
• shieldbate may select “authorized agent” (or equivalent) on host forms and use the notice contact details you provide, plus the platform agent signer name configured by shieldbate.
• This appointment does not authorize filings for other usernames, unrelated works, or hosts we have not enabled.

3. Your representations

You represent and warrant that:

• You are the copyright owner or are otherwise authorized to act for the works associated with the verified username.
• Notice contact details you provide are accurate and may be included in notices.
• You have a good-faith belief that the listed uses are not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• Information supplied for notices is accurate, and you understand that misrepresentation can have legal consequences (including under penalty of perjury where required by a host form or applicable law).

4. No guarantee of removal

Hosts decide whether and when to remove material. Counter-notices, disputes, or host policy may result in retention or restoration of listings. shieldbate does not guarantee takedown success or timelines.

5. Counter-notices and disputes

If a host or alleged poster disputes a notice, we may pause further filings for affected URLs, record dispute status in your account, and notify you when we have information to share. You remain responsible for deciding whether to pursue further legal action; shieldbate is not your litigation counsel.

6. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless shieldbate and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses arising from notices filed under this authorization, including alleged false notices or unauthorized claims, except to the extent caused by shieldbate’s willful misconduct.

7. Term and revocation

This authorization continues until you revoke it or we terminate the Service for your account. Contact legal@shieldbate.com or use in-product controls when available to stop future jobs. Notices already submitted often cannot be recalled. A new agreement version may require fresh acceptance before further filings.

8. Relationship to other terms

This agreement works together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict about agency scope, this agreement controls for that subject.
