This Privacy Policy describes how shieldbate (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website, accounts, and DMCA agent features (the “Service”). By using the Service you acknowledge this Policy. Related rules appear in our Terms of Service and Agency Agreement.

1. Who we are

shieldbate is operated from Spain. We help Chaturbate creators authorize collection of publicly listed archive URLs for a verified username and submission of DMCA notices to enabled hosts. We do not host user-uploaded videos.

2. Information we collect

• Account: email, authentication credentials/tokens, role (creator/admin), and profile fields linked to your account.
• Verification & payments: Chaturbate username, tip/verification codes, tip match records, and related event metadata needed to confirm ownership of a room and payment.
• Notice contacts: legal name, phone, mailing address, and other fields required on host DMCA forms.
• Agency & filings: agency acceptance records (version, time), scrape reports, listed URLs, filing payloads, statuses, and counter-notice related status we store for operations.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser data, and cookies/session tokens used for authentication, security, and basic site function.

3. Sources

We collect information directly from you; from Chaturbate tip/event signals you trigger for verification or payment; from publicly available archive listings for your verified username; and automatically from your browser when you use the site.

4. How we use information

• Operate accounts, dashboards, and admin tools
• Verify Chaturbate usernames and match tip payments
• Collect listing URLs and submit DMCA forms as your agent
• Communicate about the Service (including transactional emails)
• Secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with law
• Improve reliability and troubleshoot workers and filings

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of: contract performance, consent (for optional marketing email), legitimate interests in operating a secure service, and legal obligation.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the Service:

• Infrastructure: hosting, database, and auth providers (currently including Vercel and Supabase) that process data on our instructions.
• Archive hosts: notice contact details, agent statements, and URL lists submitted on DMCA forms you authorize.
• Chaturbate: tip/verification interactions occur on Chaturbate; we receive event data needed to match tips.
• Legal / safety: if required by law, or to protect rights, users, or the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in sessions, security, and basic UI preferences (for example, sidebar state). We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; some features (such as login) may not work without them.

7. Retention

We keep account and filing records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for disputes, abuse prevention, and legal compliance; and shorter-lived technical logs as needed for security and operations. You may request deletion as described below, subject to legal retention needs.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data (including access controls on admin tools). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent for optional emails. California residents may have additional rights to know, delete, and correct, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context ads, we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share” opt-out for that purpose.

10. International transfers

We are based in Spain (EU). We and our providers may also process data in other countries (including outside the EEA). Where required, we use appropriate transfer mechanisms offered by our providers.

11. Children

The Service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy by posting a new version with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or via the Service when appropriate.
